The Vice Chancellor of Osun State University joins other stakeholders and the authorities of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) at the policy meeting that held on Tuesday 11th June 2019 at the Bola Babalakin auditorium, Gbongan, Osun State.
It was the 19th policy meeting of JAMB where 160 was approved as the minimum cut-off mark for candidates seeking admission into public universities in Nigeria.
The meeting, which was attended by Vice Chancellors, Rectors of Polytechnics and provosts of colleges of education also approved 140 for private universities, while 120 was fixed as a cut-off mark for public polytechnic and 110 for private polytechnic. Similarly, 100 and above was approved for colleges of education.
Making these disclosures during the meeting, the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede said plans were underway to conduct an open examination for students seeking admissions into tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The supplementary UTME and Direct Entry lists of 2019/2020 Admission exerciseinto various degree programmes have been released. Prospective candidates who participated in the Admission screening exercise can check their admission status via the Undergraduate Admissions portal.
All admitted candidates are hereby directed to pay the sum of forty thousand naira (N40, 000.00) only as Acceptance Fees for the Provisional Admission offered.
Payment of the Acceptance Fees is by the UNIOSUN WebPAY platform through the use of Interswitch enabled Debit/ATM cards (Verve, Visa and Master cards). The deadline for the payment of Acceptance Fees is January 10, 2020.
Any candidate who fails to complete the Acceptance and other necessary registration on the portal on or before the deadline will FORFEIT the Provisional Admission offered.
